Networking Has Never Been Easier... PDF Print E-mail

In last month’s E-Newsletter I mentioned the recent membership survey conducted in the month of June. As you recall, I noted that we had by far the most respondents to any survey ever taken. One of the areas which continue to be of value to a large number of our members is the benefit of “Networking”. We all know that can take on many different shapes and flavors, but it is hard to beat up close and personal conversations, fellowship, handshakes, and business card swapping opportunities.

If you are one of those persons who not only need to “Network” but also enjoy it, then you are going to love the next 60 days or so. As we look at the upcoming calendar of events, there have perhaps never been as many opportunities to meet people as in the next two months. Other than the cost of attending the Monthly Membership Luncheon (or joining us at the upcoming and VERY special) Women In Business Luncheon on Tuesday, September 1, most everything else is FREE! I hope you will take a look at the calendar and plan to use these upcoming events to satisfy that “Networking” need.

Your Chamber of Commerce is working very hard to provide as many opportunities as possible and we hope that you take advantage of this special time. There are Networking events in the morning (Member to Member, Home Based Business and Retail Council Meetings), daytime events (two Monthly Luncheons and a WIB Luncheon), and evening gatherings as well (Chamber Night at Belk on 8/11, Business After Hours at 1st TN Financial ~ Providence on 8/13 and an Open House at Charis Health Center on 8/18). This is all in addition to the regular committee meetings, ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, and other social events!

And if that wasn’t enough, on top of all of that, the Annual Golf Classic is going to be held on Thursday, September 17 at Pine Creek. Everyone is invited to participate in whatever way is most beneficial to you; playing, sponsoring, or volunteering; there is something for everyone. Along with the golf tournament, there will be a “Pre Tournament Party” at First Freedom Bank a few days prior to the tournament and everyone (whether you are involved in the golf tournament or not) will be invited! The Chamber is also doing something it has never done before for a Monthly Luncheon; we are taking the show “On the Road” and will actually be having our luncheon outdoors under a huge “Big Top” at Two Rivers Ford. We have a special speaker lined up for this that you are not going to want to miss.

As you can see, the next 60 days is jam-packed with opportunity after opportunity to Network and have a lot of fun as well. I cannot remember ever so many Networking opportunities in such a short period of time. I am sure you agree; Networking Has Never Been Easier!
